These boots were made for Rain

With all the rain we have been having lately it has reminded me that I need some new rain boots/ cold weather boots/ arctic feet warming contraptions. I have a pair of Hunter boots that I love, but they are getting discolored, even though they are black?? But I totally need to get a couple more options as the winter is quickly approaching, last year Anchorage got it's first snow in September!! I've said it once and I'll say it 1,345 more times, I am not a cold weather girl. I like to be warm.

I never thought I would be searching the internet for "duck boots". But any excuse to shop is okay in my book (sorry husband). I found a couple options I am liking, but have yet to click the checkout button on anything. Decisions...Decisions...

    1. There are so many colors to choose from with Hunter boots...I am having a hard time narrowing it down. But you can't go wrong with a pop of red right???

  2. You know I have heard of some of the Hunters getting a little "cloudy looking." My sister and I got the same ones, mine were fine but hers got a little cloudy. She was able to get some sort of product that made them look as good as new. But hey, with all those colors to choose from, I'm all for buying a new pair, too :)

    1. Ya, mine have a white residue on them. I bought the cleaner from Nordstroms and it worked great the first time but now they are cloudy again. They are the regent style and the creases make it so hard to clean! Ugh.

    1. Everyone in Alaska wears the short Hunters or the duck boot. I am tempted to get a duck boot, because honestly wear else would I wear them? haha

  4. I feel you! I am NOT a cold weather girl AT ALL. I'm born and raised in Texas and lived the last 10 years in southern California. We moved to Massachusetts last year, and I became a hermit during the winter.

    1. I hear ya! There is very limited sunlight here in the winter and it takes a toll on you! I could't take vitamin D supplements fast enough!!
