Alright ladies, grab your coffee and lets talk shop! Beauty shop that is. With so many places to buy beauty supplies I feel like Sally's gets lost in the mix, and that is just sad. It happens to be one of my favorite places for certain items that I can't really find anywhere else. Not to mention they have so many affordable options for really amazing products. I thought I would break down what I routinely pick up, and things that stay stocked in my beauty cabinet.
Silk Elements Shea Butter and Olive Oil Hand Cream- My hands are constantly dry. Between the cold temps in Alaska, constantly washing them, soaking dishes, hand sanitizer, the list goes on, my hands take a beating. My mom turned me on to this hand cream and I am never looking back. It is nice and thick, but absorbs quickly. It does have olive oil in it which I love because I am a huge fan of oils on my skin. But this does not leave a greasy residue at all! The scent is very clean and refreshing, and the price is ridiculously affordable, so you can stash one everywhere!
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque- This mask. This is THE mask. I have mentioned this mask so many times on this blog, and I will probably mention it 1,000 more times. This is my go-to weekly without fail mask. I have been using it since I was 13, and my mom would slather this on my hormonal face. Maybe my mom should just write this because she knows her products. This mask sucks out all the impurities your face can throw at you. One tube will last you a long time. I usually try to put this on at night while I bath the kids, 2-3 times a week. 2-3 times is when I use the mask, not bathe the kids. That's daily basically. Notice how I said them....and not me..... hashtag momlife.
Face Secrets Professional Brush Cleaner- If you aren't washing your makeup brushes with this, you are missing out!! Okay, okay, I have only been using this for the last six months probably but I was clearly doing it wrong before. This stuff is goooood! So much easier than trying to wash your brushes one by one with gentle soap. This is quick and simple. Pour a small amount into a bowl and swish your brushes around in it. Instantly cleans them. Then just lay them out to dry. I wash my brushes about once a week. This solution is gentle and effective.
Brush Strokes Boar Bristle Brush- I love a boar bristle brush, and Chris had this one in his bathroom, and I stole it a long time ago. I just recently gave him his back and replaced it with one of my own. I use this to brush my dry shampoo through my hair, and also just to give my hair some added shine. I highly recommend a boar bristle brush in your hair care routine.
Out The Door Fast Drying Top Coat- Time is money people. More like, time is what I have none of. So if something claims to be "fast drying" I will try it. This really is. It stands the 45 second test, and lasts. I love to have my nails painted, and can usually swing a new color once a week. But man, if that baby wakes up before my nails dry.....fail.
Proclaim Rubber Bands- These rubber bands are bananas!!! I use them everyday on Avalon's hair, and they are so great. They don't tug, or snag her little baby hairs which is huge when trying to attempt a princess braid before she gets distracted and runs off. I also use them on my hair, and they can hold my pony tail in. Needless to say, they are a must have. Plus this huge tub is like two bucks!!
So, tell me are you a frequent Sally Beauty shopper? What do you fill your cart with?
