I am already looking ahead to spring! Not necessarily for my clothing, because I am really trying to soak up my winter wardrobe before I have no need for layers and layers and heavy coats. But makeup, well that's a different story. I am always ready to play with my makeup routine, and see what looks are deemed a "trend" for the upcoming season. Bronze will be everywhere, so I thought I'd give my take on it.
I am lo-v-ing it! Bronze, or neutral tones in general are my safe zone when it comes to makeup, but with this I kicked it up a notch with using a really heavy hand when it came to my eyes.
Here's how it went down:
Primed my skin with Nip+Fab Plumping Serum, which is the bees knees I tell you! Then went with my normal base makeup routine, Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, and concealer. Contoured my nose with a NYX contour stick, and blended blended blended with a beauty blender.
For my cheeks I did a light swipe with Neutrogena blush/bronzer, and then added some NARS Orgasm on top of that, to give a nice glow.
Eyebrows done with Anastasia Brow Wiz, a must have in my book! Then for the eyes I used a couple colors from my Prism Palette. If you are looking for a huge array of colors, this palette is for you! I have had this for about four years and love it, I also have the warm tones palette and you seriously never run out of options. Plus they are SO affordable, and they really are great shadows for the price. I have all the Naked eye shadow palettes, and they of course are amazing, but if you don't want to spend that kind of dollar bills, these Prism palettes are the next best thing. This is SO NOT a sponsored post. I have been using these for years, and totally swear by them.
So, I used a light brown for my base, and then went in with the bronze and did a couple layers. The way to really make this look stand out, is to drag that bronze shadow under your bottom lashes as well. Go crazy with the bronze!
Then I topped my lashes off with two coats of Marc Jacobs beauty Mascara, and lined my water line with a brown eye liner by MAC.
Last, I topped it all off with my current favorite neutral lipstick by Urban Decay in the shade naked2.
So what are your thoughts? Will you go for some bronze?
