What a weekend!! I will post more about it tomorrow, but I learned something about kids parties. Not only should you just reserve a party location that is absolutely tiring for your children, you should also reserve transportation for all adults present so they can drink away the insanity that are kids parties. Now, Ace turning six this is our first actual party party for him. Chris and I are of the antisocial variety when it comes to parental relationships. I know I know, go ahead and judge. But, we aren't huge on the birthday thing. We like to keep it small and to the point. Store bought decorations, cake, presents, I love you's, and fun. No over the top anything.

But that all kind of changes when your kid goes to school and gets invited to other peoples birthday parties. Now they want one of their own, which we were totally fine with. So he invited some of his friends, we had a great time, and now I am exhausted.

I actually just want to curl up in this cashmere sweater, and watch the kids entertain themselves with Ace's toy collection from the weekend. Shhhh....don't tell him!

How was your weekend?

  2. Gahhh, I dread the giant birthday parties. So much work, so much money. I like it now where I just order subs, a cake, break out some wine, and have over family and a few of our friends. Soooo much easier.

  3. I have a feeling Kyle and I will be the same way when it comes to birthday parties, they just aren't our thing.

    1. I mean maybe it will change once we are in a house that I really enjoy and want to entertain in, and possibly being closer to family. But for now....low key and fun for the kids is what i go for :)

  6. I don't like making small talk with other parents. I just don't. It's so hard to be around people. Lol
