blazer: old navy, (super old, similar here) // fur stole: anthropologie (more options) // tee: nordstrom
I spent most of my week last week cleaning out my closet. I do a super deep cleanse about every six months. And with a move coming up in a few months I figure I need to start getting organized. Well, within that cleaning craze I found some things that I forgot I even had, like this tan herringbone blazer. It was hidden way way in the back behind tons of coats, and the second I saw it I knew I wanted to pair it with this fur stole that I just got from Anthropologie. As you can see from my post the other day, I am super into the color mixing on the faux fur. This outfit is otherwise pretty plain, but the fur just adds that little bit of chic that makes me ready to tackle the day. Or in a more realistic case....the errand.
After cleaning and really taking inventory of my closet I realized that I shop a lot. Totally not shocking, but with all the new stuff that trickles in the old items get lost in the mix. Chris bought me a rolling rack a few months ago to hang all the stuff I was sneaking into his closet on, and usually I hang my most recent purchases on there. But then I forget to actually go in my closet. So I told myself that I need to really remix the pieces I already have. Not rocket science here people, but a novel idea to start this year with.
So here's to shopping in your own closet! Who's with me?
