somewhere over the weekend....

Apr 10, 2016

There was packing, there was partying, there was shopping, there was a moms night out! Yes you read that correctly, this mama went out. Out of the house with no children and no husband present. Just a group of my favorite mamas, eating, drinking, and complaining about how incredibly loud the music got to be in the restaurant (damn we are old). We went to my favorite place (again) the Whales Tail, and it did not disappoint. I think we ordered every appetizer on the menu and followed it up with some wine tasting. We laughed, and we tried very hard not to cry. Leaving these ladies is not going to be easy. Like I am dreading the very day. I refuse to fall down the rabbit hole of "goodbyes" so onward and upward.

I finally got to break in these shoes, and no breaking in needed! They are super comfortable!

What else can be seen around the internet?

My ever so hilarious friend Grace, never disappoints when it comes to a blog post. Even short stories of her beautiful family make me laugh. And also make me feel so normal. Thank you Patton. Thank you.

Another blogger turned real life friend, Kait, is the most disciplined person I know when it comes to working out. Every time I text or call her she either just got done, or headed to, or is planning her next work out. It is totally inspiring, and the fact that we have a treadmill in this house means I could use this. (But don't hold me to it, I have zero discipline)

A wonderful reader left me a comment last week telling me she spotted me on the Who What Wear website. I was like nooooo....not me. But that is my face. I think.

With the traveling that we have ahead of us, these cleansing balms are a little intriguing. Anyone tried them?

I am doing a dry shampoo experiment of sorts. I feel like I have tried them all, but I added this one into the mix. So far so good. But the experiments results have yet to be concluded.

You guys!! I went to Old Navy yesterday to grab Pierce a couple new short sleeves, he had a very strict request for Ninja Turtles, and Star Wars. I came home with a damn summer wardrobe for each child. There is just so much good stuff. And there was random 30% off here, and 40% off there. I got sucked in.

Oh, and quickly I just want to say thank you to all you amazing people. If you are still even reading here after last weeks ridiculous amount of sponsored posts. I have never stacked that many on top of each other, and I will never again. With moving in a couple weeks, it got down to the wire on some things that I had already committed to. I tried to move things around as best I could, but last week was like "thee" week for it all. So seriously thank you for all your awesome comments and emails. I will get back to my regular ranting posts about who knows what.....

I hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. Hey that's me! But I did have to chuckle, because if you could hear me before and during the working out I'm all...F THIS! F THAT! F YOU! You know, just your usual run-of-the-mill banter. Thanks for the shout out :) Plus, I got sucked into that Old Navy sale too when I was going to Sports Authority to get tape for my nipples. Yeah, don't ask. That's some sort of secret of runners that I never want to encounter ever again.

  3. New reader but I thought I'd respond to your question on cleansing balms since no one else has yet. I haven't tried those specific ones but I tried one through birch box (I think it's called dizzolv'it) and it was really amazingly great. It removed my eye makeup so quickly and gently. It did require water when wiping it off (I think I'm remembering right at least) so you might still have to get up to use the sink depending on the type. Just FYI, I know I usually find myself removing my makeup with a face wipe in bed just before I fall asleep. Also love those shoes!

  5. I am going to miss you. I've almost shed a tear in front of you (like numerous times), but I stopped it. For you. But I can't promise I can hold it any longer. And I will pick your brain about dry shampoos tmw! This mama will need it for the summer time! You rock Kels!!! ❤️
