Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer
The biggest adjustment to moving to Alaska was the lack of sunshine. I am talking little to none in the winter months. Being a desert girl and growing up in Las Vegas, I was never in a shortage of vitamin d. I am very fair skinned, not even I knew how pale I truly was until living up here in the tundra. In the winter you kind of give up on the whole "bronzed beauty" look because you are covered from head to toe in as many layers as possible. But, the best thing about winter is.....it ends. The sun comes out, and so do the blinding shade of my legs.
Jergens Natural Glow self tanner
I am a huge supporter of gradual tanners. And I have been using the JERGENS® Natural Glow® Daily Moisturizer since high school. In those days I was buying the "medium to dark" shade. Now I go for the fair to medium, and it gives me the perfect amount of natural looking color. Plus I love that I can just put it on with my regular moisturizing routine. The lotion is also nice to have around when you know you have something coming up. Date night, girls night out, work function. You can gradually increase your glow days leading up.
But you can't forget your face if you have a nicely bronzed body. Because your face exfoliates so much faster than your body, it is hard to keep that sun kissed glow. I have incorporated the JERGENS® Natural Glow® FACE Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 20 into my summer makeup routine for years now. I always get some color on my face, which leads me to a darker shade in my foundation during the summer. In order to keep it looking natural, I like to use this gradual tanner on my face and neck. Kind of lessens the amount of bronzer needed. Keep in mind that the moisturizer contains SPF but should be used for incidental sun, not for laying out.
(subtle natural glow after two uses)
I usually do this a couple times a week just to keep a subtle glow. Once I get that natural sun kissed look, I can get away with only using this once or twice a week. I also do this at night, that way the lotion has time to sink in and work before I layer any other products on top. Also it gives me a good idea of how much color I am working with before I apply my makeup.
Natural bronze makeup for spring
Bronzed makeup for Spring
The bronzed makeup look is probably the biggest spring and summer beauty trend. Glowing skin, rich gold tones, and a subtle pink lip. Perfect for all occasions.

This look is all about shades of gold and flawless glowing skin. Instead of using your usual blush, go for bronzer with a subtle highlight on top. A couple swipes of gold shadow on your lids, and finish it off with a pretty pink lip. I think a glossy lipstick, or even just a pink lip gloss pulls this look together. It's not over the top, but enough to say....I'm vacation ready!!
Right now you can save $3.00 on any 2 full size Jergens® Natural Glow® Product (Offer excludes trial and travel sizes) at Walmart!

Do you use self tanner? What are your favorites?

  4. Uhm this stuff. That's all I have ever used. Once I tried these tanning towels? Worked great but: expensive. I'm not supposed to be tanning ever bc: skin cancer. This stuff is my jam.
