-Channeling my inner Austin Powers with this one! But I am still loving any and all velvet items. I wore the full velvet suit to Chris' graduation last month, but was super excited to break up the blazer and pants and pair them with other outfits. Chris said he swears his grandmom had a couch with this print growing up. Ha! Loving these other velvet blazers as well, here, here, and here. But I must say as the temps warm up I have my eye on some satin pieces popping up, this top is calling my name maybe because it has Odette's name in it. And I need these satin lace up shoes like yesterday!
-Chris and I are both getting sick! We woke up yesterday with sore throats and it was down hill from there. You know when you feel all the signs of sickness, yet you think you can fight it off? We were pounding vitamin c and echinacea! Hopefully it doesn't completely take us both out this weekend. Yet the children are showing no signs as of now (cross your fingers). Lucky bastards!
-All I really want is a big bowl of french onion soup, or cheesy potato soup, all the comfort foods. But seeing as none of that is whole30, I think I will be switching up some ingredients and making a few of these buddha bowls this weekend.
-We might be the only family that doesn't watch football. So I highly doubt the Super Bowl will be playing in this house, although I do love me some Gaga so you never know. If you happen to be looking for some snack ideas, my girl Kait has some good lookin food in this post!
-One thing I will be doing is staying off Twitter. I'm sorry, it is just so toxic!! I truly wish people could express their opinions without it turning into personal attacks. I have come to the realization that if I went through my twitter feed and unfollowed all the people I disagree with on a political level, I would be left following a handful of people. I completely respect anyone's need to express their opinions and beliefs, but the negativity is outrageous. I actually think I cringe a little before the app opens! I am no stranger to it, my mom is a political strategist, which has also taught me that staying informed and active doesn't constructively happen on Facebook and Twitter! I think I will stick to debating politics in person, with a glass of wine perhaps!
And with that I am going to go watch an episode of Goliath and go back to sleep!
Party on party people!
