Blush Eye Makeup
I am always eager to see what the next seasons makeup trends will hold. I love experimenting with new products, new looks, or even repurposing products I already have, like for this look. One of the trends that I keep seeing pop up is the "blush eyes", but really just taking your favorite blush and using it as eyeshadow. I have done this before, but it was usually because I forgot to pack eyeshadow on a trip and needed a little color on my eyes. Then I saw this look on Lily Collins at the Golden Globes and thought, yes, I need to try this! And can I get that dress delivered to my house as well?

So I grabbed a few of my favorite everyday blush colors and just layered them until I got the perfect amount of standout blush on my eyes. I also took what was left on my brush and swiped it right under my lower lashes as well, for a more dramatic effect. It is soft and etherial, and perfect for Valentines Day! The last time I celebrated V-day I was in the fourth grade, so I will stick to wearing it on any given day. But it is really pretty paired with blush or other red tones.

Wrap Braid
A loose wrap braid seemed to be perfect to compliment the soft makeup, not to mention super quick and easy!

What do you think? Would you try the blush eyeshadow trend?

  1. I am so guilty of not being very creative when it comes to my makeup. This look is so cool on you. I love the red lip with the blush eyes.

  2. So pretty!!! I am horrible when it comes to doing my own makeup, it's pretty basic for the most part haha.

    1. I do the basics on a daily basis, but it's fun to switch it up :)

  3. So here's the skin is all one color thanks to living in Hawaii. I have to SERIOUSLY contour in order to get highs and lows on my face - does that make sense? I'm afraid if I did this my eyelids would look sunburnt. That said, I really like it - it's kind of unexpected and fun! I'm going to try it out and probably send you a million awkward Snapchats regarding it. Also - if you get that dress sent to your house, I expect A LOT of photos.

  4. If I had more than one shade of blush I sure would try it! Looks great on you!

  5. This light pink shadow is so pretty and perfect with the red lip! Love it for V-Day!
