I'd say, that on most weekends we always end up at the park at some point. Whether it is to let the kids get some energy out before we go out to eat. Or maybe we had something to do and really want to tire them out before we head home. Or maybe we just need to kill some time. That was the reason on Saturday. Chris and I dropped off both our cars to get serviced and detailed, and can I just tell you how much I love a courtesy car? Because I love them. New car smell, no crumbs on the floor, no random sticky substance that I put my hand on when crawling to the very back to buckle someone in....it's the small luxuries in life I'm telling you!
(don't worry Chris is just out of frame behind her)
So we did one big car seat switch-a-roo in the dealership parking lot and were on own way. It was a unanimous kid vote to head to the park. And it was a unanimous parental vote to grab coffee before that. Chris and I somehow thought it was a great idea to stay up super late the night before, me finishing 13 Reasons Why, and Chris going over his stock profiles with me. I was not paying attention at all, which isn't new. But then we slept in till almost 8 and had an appointment to drop off the cars at 9:30. So everyone was just running around, throwing bananas and apples to each other, while Chris was whipping up some eggs and I was shuffling kids in and out of the bathroom brushing teeth and hair.

What would a morning be without a little chaos? It wouldn't be a morning in this house, that's for sure!
It all worked out! The kids got to play and chase around a cat that seemed to need some attention. Not sure where the cat came from, it was not shy of people, and my children kept asking to bring in home. Which I had to get semi graphic as to what would probably happen to the cat should Caspian and Shameless ever see it. RIP to all the squirrels who lived in our backyard.
So, no cat but there was coffee, happy kids, and clean cars! What more can you ask for?
